PUZAS CAPITAL
Built around people, customers, and the legacy behind the numbers.
We are looking for businesses worth owning—not transactions worth flipping.
Why it matters
You built more than EBITDA.
A sale has a price. A transition has consequences—for employees, customers, family, and the reputation you spent years earning. We believe the best acquisitions respect all of it.
Protect the legacy
The name, reputation, customer trust, and operating DNA of a good business are assets—not obstacles to replace.
Respect the team
Great employees often know where the business can go next. We want to retain, empower, and invest in them.
Keep customers first
Growth that damages the customer relationship is not growth. Durable companies win because customers keep choosing them.
Build the next chapter
We add structure, leadership, and commercial discipline where useful—without fixing things that were never broken.
Acquisition profile
What we look for.
We prefer established companies with durable economics, loyal customers, capable people, and a clear reason they should still matter ten years from now.
Established & profitable
Great employees often know where the business can go next. We want to retain, empower, and invest in them.
Repeat or recurring demand
Customers return because the company solves an important problem well.
Great people
A culture worth preserving and employees who care about the work and the customer.
Preferred sectors
Specialized B2B services, distribution, compliance or regulated businesses, and other durable niches.
Management depth
A strong 2IC or team that can keep the business moving through a thoughtful transition.
Defensible niche
Specialization, reputation, relationships, know-how, regulation, or another meaningful barrier to entry.
Room to grow
Commercial, operational, geographic, or leadership opportunities that can be pursued without changing the soul of the company.
Geography
Seattle–Tacoma and the broader Pacific Northwest are primary, with selective opportunities elsewhere in the U.S.
This is a preference, not a rigid formula. Fit, transferability, people, and durability matter more than checking every box.
Our approach
Clear, direct, and built for a real transition.
We move quickly when the fit is real, communicate plainly, and avoid manufactured complexity. A seller should always understand where things stand and what comes next.
01 / CONVERSATION
Start confidentially
Understand your goals, timing, business, team, and what a successful exit actually means to you.
02 / FIT
Learn the business
Get beneath the headline numbers to understand customers, operations, leadership, and transferable value.
03 / STRUCTURE
Build a workable deal
Develop a practical structure that reflects risk, continuity, seller objectives, and the needs of the company.
04 / TRANSITION
Carry it forward
Protect continuity first, then thoughtfully build the systems and growth engine for the next chapter.

About
Operator experience before acquisition theory.
Mark Puzas is a senior commercial operator and sales leader with experience leading national teams, complex enterprise relationships, and substantial revenue responsibility. Most recently, he led Avid Technology's U.S. Pro Video business across major enterprise, media, sports, institutional, and public-sector customers. His acquisition philosophy is straightforward: buy businesses that are already good, understand why they work, put capable people in positions to win, and add the leadership and commercial discipline that helps them grow without stripping away what made them valuable in the first place.
Customer-first, consultative operating style
Experience leading teams through complex, high-value sales environments
Bias toward autonomy, accountability, and strong management teams
“The goal isn't to buy a business and erase its history. It's to earn the right to carry it forward.”
— Puzas Capital
Let's talk
Considering a transition—even if it’s a year or two away?
A good conversation does not require a process, a broker, or a decision. If you're thinking about what comes next, we would be glad to hear the story behind the business.
